Review

Quorn’s Meatless Roast is a downright delightful vegetarian turkey alternative. Does it taste a little off? Yes. But it tastes enough like turkey that after a few bites, you hardly notice. The texture is incredibly impressive and makes me wonder what other types of protein alternatives have yet to be discovered.

Side note: Jon wanted me to rate this higher, but due to the prices and slightly off taste of the mycoprotein, I couldn’t. He said if it was cheaper, he would gladly eat it every single day, and I don’t think he’s joking.

THE GOOD

  • THE TEXTURE. My god, it's amazingly stringy and meaty
  • Flavor is very reminiscent of roasted turkey
  • Nutrition - high protein, high fiber, low fat, and no cholestrol
  • Super juicy when cooked in plastic wrap or slow cooked

THE BAD

  • Long cook time
  • Mycoprotein has a really weird aftertaste
  •
  •

Final Rating: /10 - Pretty Tasty
